Barnard Castle & Teesdale Farmers Auction Market Co Ltd is a traditional livestock market established in 1890 with a futuristic approach.

We hold sales of prime, light lambs and Cast Sheep every Wednesday and sale of Store, Breeding and O.T.M Cattle also Store Lambs (seasonal) every other Tuesday.

Seasonal breeding sheep sales are held at both Barnard Castle and St Johns Chapel, Weardale. Also spring sales of Ewes and Hoggs with Lambs at Barnard Castle.

We are currently developing a new event for show potential haltered cattle in February, this reflects the quality of cattle produced in the surrounding area as many go on to compete successfully in major national shows.

Our principle auctioneer, Libby Bell is readily available to place and procure all classes of stock through an extensive customer base both locally and nationally.

The board of directors who have many years experience in the agricultural industry play an active part in the running of all sales.
